A building permit has been granted to O’Reilly Auto Parts so that renovation work can begin on a location for its new “hub store” at the High Plaza Center at 2430 S. Low St.

The Longview locations of the auto parts shop from Springfield, Missouri, already number four. The store will be bigger than usual, have more stock, and act as a “hub” for the other Longview sites, according to the firm.

According to the permit, the renovation’s construction cost exceeded $1.2 million.

BioLife starts
On Saturday, BioLife Plasma Services will open in the North Loop Plaza shopping mall at 2531 Judson Road. New Covenant Church previously occupied the location (and a movie theatre many years ago).

The corporation had earlier stated that the centre would employ 50 to 70 people and provide between $2 and $3 million in donor compensation to the neighbourhood.

Its opening was made possible by a refurbishment effort that cost more than $5 million.

Planned new restaurant
The Pinetree Centre, located at Loop 281 and Gilmer Road in West Longview, is where Fun Noodle Bar intends to open the following year.

The restaurant will be owned by Alex Jiao and a business partner, who is now based in Abilene. There are other Fun Noodle Bar locations, but according to him, they are not all a part of the same business even though the food is the same. When his application for a building permit to renovate the space where his restaurant will be located is approved, he intends to relocate to Longview.

According to him, the restaurant will provide “Asian food” from a variety of nations, including, among other things, Japanese-style Ramen noodles, dumplings, egg rolls, and broccoli beef. Considering potential complications with the delivery of necessary equipment, he anticipates that upgrading the area could take six months once the permit is authorised.

The construction value of the work is listed as $200,000 in the building permit application that was sent to the city of Longview. Chuy’s development

This week, Chuy’s installed a sign at their new 208 E. Longview location. Across from Longview High School is the Loop 281. According to the restaurant chain, Dec. 6 is when it plans to open.

price increases
In Longview, the median home price increased during the month of October. According to a survey from the Longview Area Association of Realtors, median property prices rose by roughly 9% in October, from $220,000 to $235,000. In comparison to a year ago, the number of active listings fell by 5% to 152, and the inventory fell by 1.8 months. To 91, the number of closed sales increased by nearly 3%.

Latest Big Lots
On December 10, low-cost retailer Big Lots will mark the opening of its location in Mount Pleasant. The business, which has 31,978 square feet, is situated at 2306 S. Jefferson Ave. For the first 100 clients, there will be doorbuster deals and scratch-off cards that can save them up to $250 off a purchase at the grand launch.
