So, you have a Firestick installed on a TV, but you want to switch it to a different TV? If you don’t know the technical in and outs, you may be concerned whether or not your Firestick can be moved to another TV.

Considerations Before Moving Firestick to a Different TV
Most times you can simply plug in power and plug the Firestick into any HDMI port on the new TV and things will just work. But there are times when it’s not that simple and these things should be considered:

Most of the time, switching Firestick to a new TV is a simple as these 3 steps:
- Remove the Firestick from the HDMI port of the old TV. Take the power block and cable along for the ride to the new TV.
- Plug the Firestick into an available HDMI port on the new TV. Plug in the power block and power cable.
- Switch the new TV to the HDMI input port that your Firestick is now plugged into.
- Setup the remote to control the volume and power on the new TV. Do this by going to Settings > Equipment Control > Manage Equipment > TV > Change TV.
