These two Destiny 2 Zaouli’s Bane god rolls speak for themselves. At least, the PvE one does. It’s been a long time since Destiny 2 has seen an AD-clear PvE weapon this strong. This Zaouli’s Bane PvE god roll is so good, in fact, I’m willing to say it makes the Calus Mini-Tool look like garbage. It’s a gun to end all guns – everything from the Funnelweb to Fatebringer, there’s no reason to use anything over Zaouli’s Bane.
Of course, any Destiny 2 Zaouli’s Bane god roll comes to you by way of King’s Fall. You’ll have to complete that raid if you want this weapon. In fact, you’ll have to complete it a good few times if you want the god rolls I’m talking about today. So, get yourself on LFG and stop wasting time. The sooner your grind starts, the sooner it finishes.

One look at that perk list and you should understand why this Zaouli’s Bane god roll is a game changer. It’s already a 140RPM hand cannon, meaning it’s one of the most popular weapon archetypes in the game. Throw in Explosive Payload and Incandescent on top of that, and you’ve got possibly the best weapon ever seen in Destiny 2.
It goes further than that, though. Runneth Over is the Origin Trait on all King’s Fall weapons. With it, reloading Zaouli’s Bane near allies will overflow the magazine. When you’re dealing with a six-man Fireteam for raids, that overflow isn’t an insignificant number. I’ve seen players get up to 30 rounds in the mag with the right optimization and seasonal mods. This is one of the few times where the Origin Trait of a weapon is worth talking about in its own right – the other being anything with Veist Stinger, another ammo-related trait.
Okay, moving on to this Zaouli’s Bane god roll’s perks, we’ve got a combination of Arrowhead Break and Accurized Rounds. Traditionally, you’d want something like Full Bore alongside Accurized Rounds on a hand cannon to account for the archetype’s poor range. However, with Explosive Payload, range becomes meaningless. I’m opting for Arrowhead Break for the improved recoil and handling, and Accurized out of force of habit. However, you could easily substitute these out for whatever you want – it’s columns three and four that matter with this Zaouli’s Bane god roll.
Speaking of columns three and four, we’ve got Explosive Payload and Incandescent. Funnily enough, one of my teammates on my day one run of King’s Fall got this exact roll. I knew there and then that this was going to be a game changer, and it seems the rest of the community agrees. If you’re in any way familiar with these two perks, you can see why the combination of them is busted.
Explosive Payload is an end-game PvE staple on hand cannons. It makes your bullets explode, dealing AoE damage on impact. More importantly, though, is the fact that the explosive damage has no falloff. This effectively gives your hand cannon infinite range – mitigating one of the archetype’s biggest weaknesses.
Incandescent should need no introduction. If you played during Season of the Haunted, you should be more than familiar with the god roll Calus Mini-Tool. Unlike that weapon, The Zaouli’s Bane god roll has T1 perks in both columns, making it a vastly superior weapon.
Incandescent will spread scorch to enemies whenever you kill something. That Scorch stacks, eventually Igniting the enemy and causing them to explode. That then causes more Scorch to spread, more explosions, and the loop goes on and on. You can wipe out waves of ADs in seconds. Incandescent is one of the best perks Destiny has ever gotten, and this weapon exemplifies that.
Your bullets will be dealing explosive damage, and everything you kill will cause everything to explode. It’s also got an ammo-economy Origin Trait. This Zaouli’s Bane god roll is everything you could ever want, and more, from a PvE AD-clear weapon.

Ironically, Zaouli’s Bane is a 140RPM hand cannon that is far more suited to PvE than PvP – despite being in the most powerful PvP archetype in the game. Don’t get me wrong, the thing is still a monster in the Crucible. However, it isn’t going to dominate that META as it will with the PvE endgame.
The only perk I’m changing between the two god-rolls is Incandescent. Despite being the most powerful PvE perk we’ve seen in years, it’s pretty useless in PvP activities. Unfortunately, there aren’t many great PvP perks to take its place, hence why I feel this hand cannon was designed specifically for PvE.
I’ve gone with Firefly as the replacement. This is a somewhat decent perk that can put in work in team-based modes like Trails of Osiris. However, it wouldn’t be my go-to PvP perk pick. Everything else in the column, though, is far superior in PvE than in PvP.
The fact that we’ve still got Explosive Payload to play around with is great, though. That remains a T1 perk in or out of the Crucible, so you can rely on that to carry this hand cannon during Guardian versus Guardian combat.
Once again, swap out Arrowhead and Accurized for whatever perks your heart desires. It won’t make too much of a difference, so feel free to experiment.
Overall, these Zaouli’s Bane god rolls are incredible. It’s outclassed in PvP, sure, but it’s a PvE game changer. Get yourself on LFG and start getting your weekly King’s Fall done ASAP. The sooner you can start getting Deepsight Zaouli’s Banes, the sooner you can craft these monsters.
