The story is based on the encounters of FBI agent Michael German, who worked as a covert agent with white nationalists for a year and produced the book Thinking Like a Terrorist: Insights of a Former FBI Undercover Agent. In his feature film debut, Daniel Ragussis wrote and directed the movie.

17. Reservoir Dogs (1992)

YouTube video

  • Director: Quentin Tarantino
  • Cast: Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Chris Penn, Steve Buscemi
  • IMDB Rating: 8.3/10
  • Running Time: 1hr 39m

Reservoir Dogs, the movie that started Quentin Tarantino’s career, is one of the unique crime thrillers on Peacock on several levels.

The film, which is sometimes acclaimed as the “Greatest Independent Film of All Time,” is a crime thriller that is equally ruthless and exciting as it is poetic.

In the movie Reservoir Dogs, which stars Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, Chris Penn, Steve Buscemi, and Michael Madsen, a group of crooks attempts to rob a jewelry store, but things go wrong.

The robbery is never seen in the movie; instead, the characters fill in the blanks as they discuss what went wrong by describing what happened before and after.

We can thank Reservoir Dogs for encouraging nonlinear storytelling in many directors in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

18. Cape Fear (1962)

YouTube video

  • Director: J. Lee Thompson
  • Cast: Gregory Peck, Robert Mitchum, Polly Bergen, Lori Martin, Martin Balsam

  • Running Time: 1hr 46m

Most people associate Cape Fear with the 1991 film starring Robert de Niro, while James R. Webb’s original, which starred Robert Mitchum as the murderer Max Cady, was released in 1962.

The story of an innocent family stalked by the recently released serial killer Max Cady while on vacation is the subject of Cape Fear, a film adaptation of John MacDonald’s book The Executioners.

Cady gets freed from prison after serving eight years for sexual assault and immediately begins to exact revenge on the attorney who supported his conviction. The movie is a lethal game of cat and mouse, with the ferocious cat typically winning.
